What modalities do you teach?

Students learn Swedish Massage, Myofascial Deep Tissue, Myofascial Technique, Hot Stone Massage, Triggerpoint Therapy and Neuromuscular techniques. The class also dives deeply into the areas of Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Kinesiology, providing a keen understanding of the body and how it functions.


Do you offer job placement?

All students practice their skill under supervision through student clinic. Qualified students may have the opportunity to begin their own practice as part of Balance Massage Center upon completion of the program. BMSVT has a sterling reputation and students benefit from the relationships with local and distance employers. The school will also be available to provide references and speak on a student’s behalf as they go through interview processes. Balance Massage School cannot guarantee employment post-graduation.

Massage Application I & II, Massage Fundamentals I and II, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Self Care, Ethics, Student Clinic, Career Preparation, Self-Awareness & Embodiment, & Whole-Person Foundational Approach which is unique to the BMSVT curriculum and experience



Are there admissions requirements?

In addition to being a good fit for the program, applicants must be 18 years of age or older on the first day of class; have a high school diploma or GED; be in good health and be able to physically perform massage therapy; be without a criminal record, and have the financial capacity to support their massage education.


Is there a refund policy?

Students who are unable to complete the program may receive a refund of tuition. Termination within the first 2 weeks – 90% refunded; from week 2 through the end of September – 50% refunded; after October 1 - 0% refunded. Tuition will not be refunded to students who violate the signed school agreement resulting in termination.


What is student clinic?

Beginning in January of each year, students begin offering massage services to the general public at very affordable and reduced rates. This is not only a way for us to give something back to the communities in which we live and work, but also a way for students to gain professional experience and to begin building their own massage practices.
